We are currently looking for a seasoned Web Application Support Engineer to join our team. This is an opportunity to work on our Production Support team which supports the entire company. Parkside Lending, unlike a majority of the lenders, has a proprietary LOS (Loan Origination System) which presents a unique and exciting opportunity for the right candidate. Engineering at Parkside Lending currently consists of PHP, MySQL, jQuery, Less, Bootstrap and HTML. We also use Git, Ansible, Docker, Jira and a few other tools to go along with our Kanban workflow.

Taking ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution

Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve customer issues

Following a standard SDLC process

Ability to work both individually and in a team environment and work on several projects simultaneously

Ensuring proper recording and closure of all issues
What we are looking for:
-
3+ years of experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, MySQL and JavaScript

Capable of implementing both short-term & long-term code fixes to bugs
-
Technical support or customer consulting experience

Strong problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with Database Design and Optimization (MySQL preferred)

Must be able to articulate advanced technical solutions and concepts to both business and technical audiences

Availability on call to address critical customer problems requiring immediate assistance
Bonus Points:

Mortgage or Finance Industry experience

Experience with Jira

Investigating and improving application performance
