You're no amateur, you know web and have built quite a few applications in your career. PSL has lots of interesting problems to solve, and we are looking for independent thinkers that are driven to contribute to a team effort. We are looking for intermediate/mid-level and senior engineers to join on our core platform team. This team drives our LOS (Loan Origination System) application that is used company-wide as well as our Broker portal. Engineering at Parkside Lending currently consists of PHP, MySQL, jQuery, Less, Bootstrap, HTML, and we are always exploring new languages and tools. We also use Git, Ansible, Docker, Jira and a few other tools to go along with our Kanban workflow.

Designing and implementing critical features and components

Writing high quality, maintainable & testable code

Participating in peer code reviews

Experimenting with new tools and technologies

Be an owner and a champion of platform and application quality, performance, and integrity
What we are looking for:
-
3+ years of professional experience working on web-based systems
-
Complete mastery of at least one web programming framework: Laravel, Ruby on Rails, Django or similar

Someone that is not afraid to dive into complex codebases teeming with both the new and shiny as well as the ancient and mysterious

Production experience with RESTful APIs using PHP, Ruby, Python or Perl

Comfortable crafting and optimizing SQL queries
-
Solid CS fundamentals
Bonus Points:

Mortgage or Finance Industry experience

You find great joy in writing tests

Deployed environments on AWS

Experience building and maintaining versioned API's

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
