Applications Programmer / Analyst

Orbital ATK Flight Systems Group provides products and services that span the launch, missile systems and aerospace markets.

Orbital ATK Aerospace Structures Division (ASD) located in Clearfield, Utah is currently recruiting for an Applications Programmer I-II

• Designs, develops, implements, and maintains manufacturing shop floor interfaces and engineering systems in support of business requirements and priorities
• Design HMI computer application software; develop test, debug and document applications (experience a plus but not required)
• Participates in and/or leads all phases of the system development life cycle
• Use accepted OrbitalATK architecture in application design, development and documentation standards and processes
• Use accepted OrbitalATK project management, application development and documentation standards and processes

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and one year of experience or a MS Degree in Computer Science with 2 years of experience.
• General knowledge of shop floor functions (MES, PLM, EWI, ERP/MRP) and how technology can meet business needs
• Ability standard methodology for application design and development
• Perform tasks using practices specified in department policies, procedures and approved development methodologies
• Conduct and participate in design and code reviews
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply the SDLC
• Use formalized development methodology to ensure risks to security and business process integrity are identified and mitigated
• Comply with all regulatory initiatives (i.e.: Sarbanes-Oxley, audit findings, etc)

Required Skills & Experience

• Java, Javascript, XML, HTML, Web Services
• .Net, ASP.NET, C#
• MS SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL a plus
• Oracle database fundamentals (DDL, DML, DCL) a plus
• Wonderware HMI application development software experience preferred, but will consider similar experience with other HMI development software a plus
• 2-4 years of experience working in manufacturing and information technology preferred
• Candidate should have or be working towards a BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or Manufacturing Technology
