Quality Engineering Manager

At Opower our Engineering Managers are engineers first and managers second. You will help support multiple tribes to deliver our platforms and products. You will set and maintain the standards for functional and nonfunctional quality, reduce risk and maximize operational efficiency.

About You

• Proven 5+ years experience with ability to lead: people, technology and processes.
• You are back-end focused: Platform APIs and Big Data sources are your thing.
• Experience leading testing for SOA/SaaS platform development and maintenance
• You’re an expert in automated software delivery pipelines and continuous integration
• You have managed and supervised a number of directs across dispersed teams.
• You are well versed in current SDLC practices of Scrum, Agile and BDD.
• You are self-managing and have the ability to adjust to competing priorities and allocate your time as necessary to get the job done.

Desired Qualifications

• Technical background and BS/MS in a computer-related or hard science field.
• 5+ years experience in industry.
• 3+ years experience building automation and continuous delivery workflows.
• 2+ years lead/management experience
