Financial Analyst

OpenDNS provides a cloud-delivered network security service that automates protection for any device, anywhere, against advanced attacks before they can cause damage. Complementing our unique delivery model for cyber-security, we have a ‘satellite view’ of the Internet and use big data analysis technique

We deliver security at the DNS layer, using the Internet’s existing infrastructure, to keep malware from compromising your systems and to stop botnets or phishing from exfiltrating your data.

• Prepare reports and projections based on analyses and compilations of different data sources
• Manage and maintain Excel tools that are business critical
• Assist with annual and quarterly forecasting
• Analyze current and past financial data and performance
• Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
• Provide support in ad-hoc internal and external information requests
• Apply critical thinking to interpret the impact of key business drivers
• Analyze variances between actuals, forecast, and plan
• Help integrate and transition internal financials/data to Cisco ERP systems

Required Skills and Experience:

• 1-2 years related work experience
• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar
• Advanced Excel skills are a MUST
• Team player - this is a highly collaborative and supportive team environment
• Strong PowerPoint skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Understanding of the financial statements and how they are inter-related
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient with numerical analysis
• Positive, proactive work ethic and approach

Other Skills

• Nice to have - SQL skills - the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role
• Nice to have - VBA knowledge preferred but not required
• Financial ERP experience (Anaplan, Adaptive, Essbase) is a plus
• Experience in a SaaS company is a plus
