Web Producer

ONE is an international campaigning and advocacy organization of more than 7 million people taking action to end extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa… because the facts show extreme poverty has already been cut by 60% and can be virtually eliminated by 2030, but only if we act with urgency now.

As the Web Producer, you will use your advanced knowledge of the web to maintain ONE’s existing digital platforms, manage with technical development vendor workloads, and develop new areas and enhancements to help mobilize an online constituency. This position will work closely with a team of designers, writers and campaign managers; as such, the ideal candidate for this role will love project management and have specific experience developing mobile products and working with Wordpress technologies. This is a full-time position reporting to the US Digital Director and will be based in Washington, DC.

• Maintain and update content on ONE’s multiple global web properties, primarily for the US and Canada
• Help manage ONE’s web servers, Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) Tools, and Content Management System (CMS)
• Work closely with Digital team members and external vendors to develop web features and enhance existing functionality
• Collaborate with key staff to develop requirements around new projects
• Engage with vendors to help with large project or campaign development
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ONE’s technical requirements for deliverables
• Organize and maintain ONE’s template and tool libraries
• Query membership and site metric data with ONE’s CRM tools to create activity reports for team members

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Web development, Information Technology or a related field
• Four years’ experience working with web technologies
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with modern, standards-based HTML, CSS, MySQL, PHP, and JavaScript (Mason, Perl or AJAX a plus)
• Strong knowledge with WordPress development
• Experience of working with CRM systems
• Experience of managing Linux and Apache based server infrastructure
• Familiarity with developing and deploying projects using Git
• Experience with REST APIs for front-end development
• Experience in developing projects for mobile
• Knowledge in site creation, development of userflows, design and interactive tools
• Self-starter who can work independently and has a desire to learn new skills
• Project management experience
• Ability to communicate project scope, timeframe and progress to non-technical staff
• Ability to think critically and independently
