Ogilvy is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join the Miami office. This is an opportunity to join a global account services team for one of the fastest growing marketing communication firms in the world. Today, Ogilvy employs over 15,000 people, in 450 offices, and is a member of the WPP family of companies. The Senior Account Executive (SAE) understands the agency portfolio of offerings and how to apply them to solve client business problems. He/she supports the day-to-day execution of advertising, consumer branding, social and digital programs. He/she manages the coordination and execution of digital and print creative from concept to delivery, ensuring work is innovative, on strategy, within scope, and delivering on clients’ business objectives.
- Project estimation, schedules, requirements, change management, and documentation
- Communication of project status to team and client
- Represent client’s interests and keep them informed on project status
- Facilitate effective workflow between project team members
- On-time, on-budget and error free delivery of projects
- Capable of writing simple creative briefs and POV’s with supervision
- Establishes core relationships with junior clients
- Can mentor and train most junior team members on account service fundamentals, agency processes, client standards, etc.
- Able to adequately represent client interests to team
- Ability to write accurate scopes by engaging appropriate discipline leads and asking detailed questions of clients to gain clarity around deliverables and needs (excels in project definition)
- Understands appropriate research techniques for strategy, creative, and media needs
- Participates in /has exposure to development of client marketing strategy
- Understands the implications of business strategy on project decisions
- Knows when to escalate potential problems
- Sets up meetings, includes the appropriate stakeholders, and provides accurate agendas and precise, actionable meeting notes
- Understands both the basic steps for project completion as well as identify dependencies and can demonstrate flexibility when presented road blocks during execution.
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business or related field
- 4 or more years experience client management/project management in an agency environment; traditional (print, tv, radio) and digital (social, video, SEO)
- Understanding of email and direct mail development processes, procedures, strategies, tools, and trends
- Knowledge of data/analytics and how it is used to execute campaigns
- Experience managing marketing campaigns from creative brief through execution
- Previous experience managing many simultaneous projects involving cross functional project teams
- Superb client relationship management skills
- Ability to prioritize a wide variety of tasks and changing deadlines
- Flexible and adaptable to different work styles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
