Summary

Northrop Grumman Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst to work in the Corporate Accounting department.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts.
  • Prepare month-end closing calendar and host month-end close planning meeting.
  • Prepare long term debt schedules.
  • Maintain month-end closing documentation.
  • Prepare Corporate Office financial statement analytics and other quarterly management reports.
  • Prepare periodic rolling forecasts for our Corporate Tax Department.
  • Provide audit support related to SOX, DCAA, IRS, internal and external financial statement audits.
  • Maintain the Corporate Accounting department’s SOX documentation and evidence of the operation of controls.
  • Assist with related corporate office inputs into the operating and strategic plans.
  • Assist with preparation of year-end financial reporting packages and tax packages for domestic corporate entities.
  • Assist with preparation of the annual Forward Pricing Rate Proposal and Incurred Cost Submission for the company’s Long-term Incentive Plan.
Ideal Candidate

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an accounting/finance related field. Master’s Degree or CPA may be traded for 2 years of experience. Master’s degree and a CPA may be traded to a total of 3 years of experience.
  • 3 years of relevant experience. Public Accounting, and/or investment banking experience IF directly relevant may count for up to an additional year of experience for each year of relevant experience.
  • CPA certification or eligible for certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be able to function in a dynamic organization.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Big Four accounting firm experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion Financial Management.
  • An understanding of government contract accounting regulations, cost accounting standards and federal acquisition regulations.
