Essential Functions
Marketing Content
- Coordinate social media platforms with local marketing, i.e. app, web streaming
- Create messaging that drives traffic to NGENradio app, web streaming, syndicated channels and social media channels
- Partner with NGEN’s Program Director to determine appropriate on-air messaging that promotes NGENradio to our listeners and supports audience growth
- Identify local events and community initiatives that will support the marketing and fundraising campaigns
- Create/oversee signage for all events
Strategic Planning
- Lead the strategic direction for NGENradio traditional and non-traditional marketing that communicate the heart of NGENradio and support growing the audience, including:
- Cross Promotions (artist shows, video product placement supported by joint ad campaigns)
Place-based Promotions (audience captive environments, ads featured on school buses, bags, etc.)
- Sponsorship Promotions (associating brand with desirable celebrity, team, event or place)
Social Media, Web, Email Blasts, other Media Platforms
- Ensure strategic alignment with NGENradio promotions and marketing initiatives
Develop and execute strategies that elevate awareness for NGENradio including local schools, colleges, youth events and conferences
- Collaborate with cross departmental teams to design and implement promotions strategies
- Collaborate with Donor Care department and NGEN Station Manager to create traditional and non-traditional funding campaigns
with syndication initiatives and help define syndication funding models and expansion and exposure plans
- Identify and engage relationships with community influencers, artists, industry leaders, public speakers reaching 12-24 year olds
- Responsible for training artists and tours how to promote NGEN radio
- Serve as NGEN’s liaison with the KSBJ Promotions Team for any co-branding or future initiatives
- Facilitate off-site activities and maintain the integrity of NGEN’s presence at all events, artist promotional events, and NGEN sponsored artist activities and tours
Traditional Marketing
- Serve as brand manager for NGEN Radio and ensure brand consistency for all off-air communications
- Serve as the external media relations contact and manage branding, PR efforts and interview requests for NGENradio
- Identify new and cutting edge best practices within the marketplace
Promotions Outreach
- Provide leadership and direction for the NGEN - Promotions Outreach staff
- Oversee organization, efficiency, and maintenance of departmental resources, supplies, and equipment
- as project manager for all promotions initiatives
- Provide direction for Street Team
- Coordinate with Technology department to ensure our streaming channels are providing superior listening experience
Local Promotion Execution
- Build and cultivate community partnerships that are aligned with NGEN’s mission and vision
- Oversee all promotional support for on-air giveaways and street team events
- Responsible for promotions product inventory
- Lead all aspects of the Threads for Life program
- Provide oversight for execution of all events from set up to tear down
- Oversee coordination and execution of Live Remote setups
Non-Essential Functions
- Responsible for capturing and/or coordinating photo, audio and video documentation for promotion initiatives
- Oversee all NGEN promotions inventory including signage
- Maintain and organize all promotional, marketing, event, merchandise, music components of the campaigns
- Coordinate shipping, ordering, transportation, travel and fulfillment of contractual commitments with artist and tour sponsorships
- Maintain and oversee the promotions calendar and timeline
- Coordinate volunteers to assist in promo booth support
- Any other duties assigned
