Responsibilities
  • Drive the definition of new features for the Nest app, being able to take into account hardware, design and infrastructure dependencies as well as customer needs
  • Manage tradeoffs involving features, schedule, cost
  • Manage the product backlog, taking on product ownership and working closely with the scrummaster for those teams working in scrum.
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap.
  • Communicate product priorities across the organization
  • Define product positioning and key product messages
  • Gather product feedback from surveys, interviews and usability testing
  • Possess knowledge of competitive products and communicate and position the product in relation to other products and the competition
Ideal Candidate

Minimum qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience having managed at least one entire product development cycle from concept to launch.
  • BS, CS degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications

  • MBA preferred
  • Experience developing version 1.0 products
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile
  • Experience formulating product messaging and marketing
  • Love of the connected home market
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
