Data Scientist

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a talented data scientist to join a high-quality technical team focused on a mobile/cloud software platform for interactive applications. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated developer with a proven track record of finding solutions for intelligent data processing. The candidate will work closely with and learn from technology experts in machine learning, natural language processing and speech.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine algorithms for machine learning from large domain datasets
• Write offline as well as efficient runtime programs for meaning extraction and real-time response systems
• Work closely with NLP technology experts to apply machine learning to language processing and understanding
• Be open to learning new technologies and new problem domains
• Collaborate with team members in building products

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science, computational linguistics, mathematics or similar
• 2+ years of experience programming with Python
• Experience with data and statistical analysis
• Passion for solving difficult problems
• Strong communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot issues

Pluses:

• Experience with other data analytics languages such as R
• Work experience programming in a high-level language such as Java or C++
• Exposure to NLP algorithms such as classification, parsing
