The role:
We are growing a team of creative stars to elevate our brand. Producing breakthrough visual design for our brand requires the chess moves of a content strategist, the conceptual ability of a storyteller, the craft of a fine artist, deep empathy towards our audiences, and a passion for delivering experiences that delight users and followers.
We seek a design team leader who is as equally at ease sketching on a napkin as on a digital pad, experienced at designing with the Adobe suite or Web tools, and confident presenting creative strategy, concepts and design to a diverse internal audience.
As an Associate Creative Director here at Mozilla, you will…

Lead a team of talented visual designers, art directors, graphic designers, and videographers who create uniquely Mozilla content and experiences.

Design engaging ways to visualize and communicate new tools, features and products through illustrations, animations, and frictionless user experiences for existing users of the Firefox browser across devices.

Create original visual concepts and content drawing new attention to Mozilla product brand offerings, including advertising, social posts, media graphics, Firefox community collateral, and the like.

Work collaboratively with other designers and copywriters as well as product marketing managers, developers, and user experience specialists, following agile marketing process and working in the open.

Provide creative feedback to designers, agencies, business partners, Firefox community contributors and others to fine-tune their design offerings.
Our ideal candidate has:

10+ years agency and/or in-house experience in Web design, graphic design, UI/UX design, or similar field.

Experience leading a creative team.

Proficiency using the Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote and Google presentation tools.

A portfolio you can share with examples of recent work. As a lead you’ll be able to identify and incorporate trends in design and technology into everyday work.
Bonus points for:

Proficiency using Web design tools and languages (CSS, HTML), motion graphics, animation, and other UX tools and practices.

Self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet project milestones and deadlines especially working within a distributed team.

Digital marketing experience.

Experience working on an Agile team.

Experience presenting to diverse audiences and defining the value added by creative strategy, process, and results.

Experience working as part of a distributed team.
