With the Company’s Support Center in Memphis, TN, Monogram operates 8 processing plants employing over 2500 team members.
Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager will actively engage with and oversee the activities of a 3rd party sanitation company. The use of a 3rd party is subject to change over time – therefore the candidate for this position should be capable of running an internal sanitation crew if future needs require it. In addition to holding the 3rd party accountable for their responsibilities, this position will also act as a liaison between Quality Assurance, Production. Sanitation Manager will also be responsible for managing janitorial and dish wash room personnel on all shifts.
- Oversight on all 3rd Party sanitation activities in a food manufacturing facility.
- Assist in the planning, development and maintenance of facility sanitation and food safety programs.
- Assist plant management and staff to ensure all policies and procedures are compliant with state and federal regulations.
- Establish documented sanitation processes and protocols as needed.
- Provides daily work direction to hourly associates performing sanitation activities.
- Ensures associates comply with company policies, procedures, to ensure safe, efficient operations and maintain positive working environment.
- Interact daily with Quality Assurance and Production on sanitation activities and performance.
- Troubleshoot as necessary as opportunities to improve arise
- Develop and implement ideas to help improve cost or performance
- Performs other duties as assigned
- 3 or more years of experience in food manufacturing sanitation required.
- Experience in directly managing others in a sanitation role
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
- Strong ability to analyze and solve problems as they arise
- Good computer skills, including work processing, spreadsheets
- Ability to comply with all safety expectations including wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE)and follow all safe practices.
- Perform their roles and responsibilities in a safe manner
- Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
