Molecular Devices is searching for a Product Manager to join our growing Bioproduct development team. Candidate will be responsible for full life cycle management of existing and novel cell line development and colony picking products. To accomplish this, the candidate will need to work across functional boundaries with engineering, sales and marketing counterparts. Position reports to the Director of Marketing, Drug Discovery.
- Assess markets and propose new products based on customer input.
- Specify product requirements that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Ensure that products are delivered according to agreed time-lines.
- Execute launch and marketing plans to ensure product acceptance and revenue goals.
- Continually monitor product performance and quickly react to any changes in the market.
- BS degree in life science, advanced degree a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, marketing or applications support.
- Knowledge of bioproduction applications and markets
- Proven track record of concisely reporting VOC information to marketing and development teams.
- Proven experience to foster open innovation activities with end users.
- Proven ability to accomplish tasks in a team environment (ex.: engineering, marketing, technical support).
- Proven ability to communicate complex concepts in writing.
- Must travel monthly to visit customers.
- Detail Oriented – ability to develop detailed plans and then execute on those plans.
- Priority Minded – ability to identify and execute on only the most important issues (stay focused).
- Sense of the Urgency – ability to know when to act quickly to proactively solve problems.
