Responsibilities:

Leads a cross-functional team for the Non Apparel Division

Create assortments based on historical and current product performance - that align with the business metrics, also taking into consideration: brand image, trends and competitive opportunities

Manage formal and informal relationships with business partners to ensure all deliverables needed to successfully build and develop assortments that exceed financial goals

Ensure that pricing and promotional strategies maximize volume and margin goals

Competitive knowledge: visit markets to become the expert on the competitive landscape and read relevant publications to keep on top of trends

Identify risks and opportunities relating to product, flow and presentation

Partner merchandise planning team on the following processes: assortment planning, development of financial plans, OTB, in season strategies and allocations to maximize inventory performance

Work cross functionally with Finance, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service and Technology, in order to gain alignment behind strategic needs and priorities
Qualifications Undergraduate degree or MBA a plus (business or fashion related major)

10 + years experience in retail and/or e-commerce environment; prior experience in the luxury sector (specifically non apparel) a plus

Prior experience as DMM or Senior Buyer

Knowledge and experience with merchandising financials and proven ability to manage profitability

Proven experience to successfully lead a buying organization through process of merchandise planning and acquisition and open-to-buy

Experience with coaching, training and managing a team

Comprehensive knowledge of the luxury market; keen sense of fashion

Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to manage vendor relationships

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment
