Senior Java Server Developer

• Implement enterprise server components utilizing Java/JEE/Spring
• Define and implement RESTful interfaces in an n-tier web and mobile environment
• Collaborate across Architecture, Visual Design, and other development disciplines to develop and deliver high quality software products
• Participate in an Agile Scrum Software Development Life Cycle
• Maintain a “Security First” mindset during all development activities
• Support and mentor more junior engineering resources

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years experience developing applications software
• Experience developing web services using JEE/Java/Spring required
• Clear understanding of MVC design pattern. Use of SpringMVC preferred
• Experience building and documenting RESTful Service APIs
• Experience with Oracle, MySql, or PostgreSQL and use of Hibernate, ORMs and/or jdbc required
• Experience with NoSql databases such as MongoDB or CouchDB a plus
• Understanding of document description languages such as JSON and XML
• Experience working as part of an Agile Scrum team

Relevant Skills and Experience:

• Experience with integration frameworks such as Apache Camel or Mule
• Experience using Node.js to build scalable web services
• Experience using Swagger to define and implement RESTful web services
• Experience developing with and deploying to Amazon Web services
• Experience with other open source frameworks a plus (PHP, Rails, Grails, Django or similar)
