Responsibilities
**THE CLIENT** - Acts as primary day-to-day point of contact providing best-in-class account management by being: - Proactive, professional, organized, knowledgeable, prepared, communicative, engaged and accountable - Focuses on relationship building, satisfaction and retention while ensuring client expectations are always managed - Identifies opportunities for proactive growth - Works with Group Account Director to oversee client P&L(s) by maintaining/exceeding key targets - Serves as a trusted emerging media expert with an eye towards strategic opportunities that impact a client’s business - Works with agency leadership to develop strong goals/objectives and plan for clients business **THE WORK** - Works closely with Group Account Director to define success and measure results accordingly - Clearly drives and communicates overall mission, vision, goals, strategy and expectations to the broader agency team - Organizes and integrates marketing programs across client stakeholders, agency departments, partner agencies, and vendors - Manages overall execution of client scope - Works with key internal stakeholders to manage internal & external resources in the successful delivery of client work - Ensures all executions meet or exceed requirements and expectations on time, on budget and at our highest quality - Ensures process is followed and appropriate approvals, safe guards and procedures are met for each project - Participates in new business pitches, as needed - Partners across MXM on broader agency opportunities for overall account growth and development, **THE EXPERTISE** - Is a student of our client’s business to provide consultation on: - Current trends in client’s industry and competitive landscape - Emerging media news and developments - Best practices/POVs - Partners with Strategy and Creative to bring forth new insights and new opportunities - Provides Entertainment industry/vertical expertise and leverages knowledge as a thought leader - Is consistently well-versed in the emerging media (social & mobile) landscape; educated in all current platforms and new/on-the-horizon platforms and opportunities - Represents MXM and clients at key events, networking and advising clients on best practices and key players **THE TEAM** - Works with Group Account Director to supervise account team members on specific accounts or projects, providing ongoing feedback, mentorship, and coaching - Facilitates knowledge sharing best practices across the account team and other departments, as applicable **THE DIFFERENTIATORS**: - 2+ years in Account Director role with proven success per 360 reviews, and client feedback - Continually meets or exceeds client upsell goals - Is viewed as trusted leader amongst team and leadership - Brings new thinking, ideas and/or opportunities to the forefront as a passionate expert - Exemplifies MXM’s Core Values everyday
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience - 8+ years of related digital agency experience - In-depth experience in managing complex and/or industry leading emerging media programs - Proven track record of leading entertainment-based clients with demonstrated growth and increasing profitability. - Ability to analyze large amounts of information and articulate relevant issues to appropriate personnel. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent presentation and leadership skills. - Excellent relationship skills, both internally and with clients.
