Summary

The Director of Marketing and Sales Strategy plays a critical role in continuing to grow Surgical Directions lines of business and improve its position in the market. This Director role will develop and execute a marketing plan and associated initiatives to position the company as a leader in perioperative and anesthesia consulting and interim healthcare leadership and permanent placement. In addition to marketing, the individual will have sales and lead generation support responsibilities. The Director of Marketing and Sales Strategy will have the ability to enact noteworthy change, so we’re looking for a proactive, self-starter with strong experience in marketing for consulting. The individual will work alongside the CEO and President COO to help grow the company's business sales and revenue.

Responsibilities
  • Develops a marketing and sales strategy and tactics plan to meet department's goals including:
    • analysis of competition,
    • current market position,
    • gap analysis of current competencies/strategizes,
    • recommended marketing approach and growth strategy,
    • lead generation tactics through product expansion and other strategies to generate recurring business,
    • quantifies results of marketing
  • Identifies and executes upon new market and branding opportunities
  • Manages marketing campaigns
  • Responsible to identify higher-interest leads based on behavior/engagement with Surgical Directions over time and channels (email, webinars, conventions) that represent a higher potential for sales closure
  • Formulates and monitors high-level budget
  • Directs formal and informal research activities to enhance profitability, as needed
  • Develops and updates new marketing collateral material
  • Responsible for finding opportunities for and supporting article publishing and white papers
  • Enhances the company's website content, as needed
  • Develops and maintains a prime prospect list through Salesforce.com
  • Builds relationships between department and key prospects and participates in weekly sales activities
  • Responsible for updating department on lead tracking and sales activity regularly
  • Enhances company’s positioning and marketing at associated conferences and events
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested
Ideal Candidate
  • Education Level: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; MBA preferred
  • Experience Years: Five to ten year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience Industry: Experience in marketing at a top-tier consulting firm strongly preferred and/or prior healthcare sales and/or marketing experience strongly preferred
