Summary

Business Product Owner is a hands-on top performer. Their focus is on the future of our offerings. Flexibility and desire to learn are essential. Ability to become the “CEO” of every assigned initiative is a must. This position is a mix of Product Manager and Product Marketing Manager and resides within the Product Management team.

Responsibilities

Your job will be spent focusing on the following key objective:

  • Increase Addressable Market for MediaRadar.

This will be accomplished by achieving the following results:

  • Creating new SAAS product offerings
    • Identifying and assessing business opportunities
      • Develop product definition
      • Understand competition and our unique positioning in the marketplace
      • Provide leadership and direction to achieve product vision
      • Create product design artifacts
    • Leading cross-functional team during product development
      • Incl. Sales, Marketing, Client Services, and Content (Production)
    • Constructing the revenue model, understanding and managing revenue and costs levers
    • Establishing and maintaining key external partner relationships
    • Working closely with the product and engineering teams in an agile environment to deliver amazing products to market
    • Working with sales, marketing and client services on go-to-market plan definition and execution
  • Managing our product offerings already in the marketplace
    • Tracking success and failure via business analysis of metrics and analytics
      • Utilize: Salesforce, Google Analytics, Crazy Egg, NewRelic, Internal data and CRM
    • Supporting marketing, sales & client services in lead gen, PR, revenue generation and service delivery. Integrate customer outreach using Customer.io & Segment.com
    • Interacting with user and prospect community to boost usage and drive new users to the offering
    • Building new features to keep our client community delighted and excited
Ideal Candidate

Qualities / Attributes of an excellent Business Product Owner:

  • Motivated and creative self-starter
  • Technically competent, has understanding of current and future internet technology and SaaS
  • Business Savvy. Possesses accounting, finance and economics fundamentals
  • Strategic thinker
  • Subject matter expert in current position. If you are not already, you will need to become a subject matter expert in SaaS offerings, Media and Ad Tech space
  • Record of delivering successful (financially) products from concept to clients
  • Must be a great team member and have excellent work ethic
  • Passionate about the team, project and work
  • Shows empathy for our users, a high level of integrity, and an entrepreneurial approach to problem solving
  • Is a constant learner, continuous contributor to team IQ level
  • Amazing communicator and negotiator

Experience:

  • 7+ years in tech industry focusing on product management or product marketing
  • Knowledge of SaaS preferred. Sales Automation, Ad Tech and/or Media desired
  • Industry analysis experience
  • Experience in creating business models
  • Experience in creating roadmaps and working with technology teams
  • Experience with data analytics and automation
  • Experience working with senior leadership and experience defining and delivering on a product vision

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance or Business Administration, Computer Science or Software Engineering, Data/Information Science
  • Advanced degree/MBA preferred
