DevOps Engineer

• Streamlining the processes of getting things from code to production and in an automation fashion

• Working with the architects and principal engineers to incorporate tools/technologies to improve productivity

• Software tooling: including system build, source control, continuous integration, testing and deployment

• Monitoring and availability of internal- and external-facing services

• Design and lead the approach to public cloud enablement and automation

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+yrs experience in DevOps role in production SaaS companies

• Systems Monitoring tools setup and configuration

• Application Performance Monitoring tools setup and configuration (New Relic, Splunk, AppDynamics etc.)

• Understanding of Cloud hosting principles and AWS operations is required

• Troubleshooting complex production issues at scale and under tight timelines

• Performance profiling and tuning of App/Web tier

• Hands on experience in areas such as scripting, Chef, Puppet, Docker, Jenkins, Git

Winning Requirements:

• QA/QE and Sys Admin experience a definite plus Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience working with horizontally scaled distributed server-side applications;

• 4+ years as a senior engineer or other leadership role;

• Experience designing and implementing server-side technology for scalable crawling, indexing and analysis;

• Proven expertise in architecting and developing high availability, scalable, performance-oriented multi-tier enterprise applications;

• Expert ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex design and coding problems;

• Expert in Java threading and concurrency with efficiently utilization database, network and file system resources;

• Strong experience in database interaction and O/R mappings with emphasis on applications designed for high volume transactions;

• Very strong hands-on technical experience with JAVA / J2EE, Rich Internet Applications, SOA, enterprise service bus, SOAP, XML, n-tier application architectures;

• Expert understanding and the ability to apply software design and testing methodologies;

• Strong SQL knowledge on SQL server;

• Ability to work effectively as a team member, across project teams, and independently;

• Possess exceptional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills;

• Expert level of experience in Java SE, J2EE, Threading, Concurrency, Tomcat, JBoss, Spring, Hibernate, SQL, Web Services/REST, SQL Server, mysql;

Preferred Skills:

• Hadoop and other Open Source technologies.
