MarketStar's HPE team currently has an opportunity available for a VMware Alliance Sales Specialist in South Jordan, Utah. The Easy Connect Alliance Sales Specialist will serve as a pre-sales resource for HPE Easy Connect offerings. The specialist will proactively reach out to key partners and MarketStar sales teams to provide pre-sales assistance, articulate the HPE Easy Connect value proposition, provide program and product updates and training, as well as provide support for related activities and promotions via trainings, end-user events, I.T. configurations, webinars, conference calls, and other communication methodologies established by MarketStar, VMware, and HP.
- Act as a point of contact for HPE partners, field sales and EG Business unit managers for HPE Easy Connect solution needs
- Build, maintain, manage, and mine sales pipeline to close HPE Easy Connect business opportunities
- Drive sales of the HPE Easy Connect products; assist with open quotes and customer deals
- Drive demand generation activities, as needed; plan, track, and measure the success of these activities, based on availability of funding
- Communicate and train reps and partners on the benefits of HPE Easy Connect program; host partner and customer webinars and trainings, as required
- Participate in necessary client meetings to represent sales performance, pipeline management, and discuss key activities
- Serve as a dedicated resource that leverages the sales organization, expertise, and breadth of resources to facilitate HPE Easy Connect objectives
- Identify product gaps within categories or solutions and communicate findings to the management team
- Understand competitive landscape and provide monthly feedback, market intelligence and competitive insight to HP BU/District managers and HPE contact
- Create and execute targeted sales initiatives with MarketStar sales teams and key partners
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 6+ years' channel and/or technical sales experience
- Previous account management experience
- Demonstrated success in achieving assigned quota using creativity in achieving various sales goals
- Experience selling to all customer levels, including highest level within customer organization
- Strong solution and relationship selling, along with the ability to up-sell/cross-sell
- Ability to negotiate with customers to produce desired results
- Engaging and persuasive communication skills with the ability to present to large audiences
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; capable of interfacing with various levels within a partner/customer organization
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment by contributing individual skills to overall team goals
- Sound knowledge of technical products and technologies with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts plainly and simply
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight, up to 25%
