Marketing Representative

MARCIVE, Inc., a leader supplier of automated services to libraries nationwide, has an immediate, full-time, permanent position in the Marketing Department in San Antonio, Texas.

* Learn and sell all MARCIVE services including authorities processing, RDA conversion, MARC Record Enrichment, retrospective conversion, Brief Record Upgrade, reclassification, government document conversion, and MarciveWeb DOCS. * Respond to bids for all services. Represent MARCIVE at library conferences, work in the booth, and make presentations. * Travel 5-8 times per year, with some trips requiring weekends away from home. * Assist with conferences, advertising, marketing, web content, and literature responsibilities. * Other duties as assigned.

* Excellent oral and written skills * Working knowledge of MS Word, Access and Excel * Ability to be a self-starter * Must work at the San Antonio office (no telecommuting) * Desirable: Demonstrated success in consultative sales in the library market * Knowledge of cataloging and technical services * Education: Bachelor’s degree. MLS. Appropriate work experience may be substituted for degree(s).
