Director of Brand Marketing

(Austin, Texas)We are building the leading marketing platform for local businesses. We provide an integrated social, web, and email marketing solution designed to help merchants get more customers and keep them coming back by spreading word of mouth, extending their customer service, managing their online reputation, and leveraging our merchant network.
The Director of Brand Marketing will report to the SVP Product, and owns the Main Street Hub brand identity and voice, including its expression across the entire experience for local business owners, employees, partners, and investors.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including the co-CEOs, to define and execute the Main Street Hub brand strategy, story, and positioning for the following audiences – local business owners, employees, partners, and investors.
- Establish a brand measurement methodology, and build tools and processes to track and report on results – smashing aggressive targets in the process.
- Partner with demand generation, product marketing, and sales to develop, launch, and measure integrated campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels that move the needle on brand awareness, engagement, and most importantly new customer acquisition.
- Partner with the People team to establish and deliver a compelling employment brand, focused on candidates, current employees, and Main Street Hub alumni.
- Own the Main Street Hub brand identity, voice, and positioning across the consumer and merchant lifecycle and ensure that the entire customer experience reinforces our brand.
- Energize PR efforts and maximize impact from national and tech press coverage.
- Be the brand steward and internal advocate for the brand identity, including socializing and enforcing our overarching brand positioning, architecture and identity throughout the company.
- Understand competitive landscape and develop ideas and solutions to establish brand differentiation and drive brand affinity for Main Street Hub – including net new initiatives like customer loyalty programs.
- Own and deliver all content marketing needs – white papers, webinars, nurturing campaigns, etc.
- Lead the management of the company website and various microsites required for experiential and partnership marketing events.
- Embrace accountability for Main Street Hub’s digital reputation in relevant channels such as search, Better Business Bureau, Glassdoor, etc.
- Design content strategy and execute across all relevant social channels – Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Medium (company blog). Includes community management.
- Manage budget and vendor contracts required to support brand initiatives.
- Own all internal communication channels and associated content.
- Lead and develop a team of four creatives (content marketing, community management, and graphic design).
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, with MBA a plus.
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience with 3+ years leading branding initiatives for a technology company.
- Expert-level understanding of brand positioning, strategy and architecture.
- A track record of performance excellence, with a great balance of big-picture strategic thinking and detailed execution.
- Experience leading or supervising a cross functional team delivering 360° integrated campaigns.
- Possess an exceptional creative eye.

- Experience with managing the workload and career paths of content marketers, copy writers, and graphic designers.
- A strong track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and maintaining highly collaborative cross-functional relationships.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and thought-leadership.
- Experience managing multiple initiatives, in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
- Able to adapt to change and think quickly on new initiatives.
