Corporate Quality Assurance Manager

Leprino Foods’ history dates to over 65 years ago, when the Leprino family first started making small batches of mozzarella for local markets and eateries in Denver. We’ve grown a bit since then. Today, we are the largest manufacturer of mozzarella and lactose in the world, and a leading producer of whey protein. Still owned by the Leprino family, we’ve set our sights to become the “World’s Best Dairy Food and Ingredient Company.”

For our Denver, CO corporate headquarters we are seeking a Corporate Quality Assurance Manager on our fantastic Global R&D team to help us achieve the growth needed to continue moving our organization to even larger levels!

• Manages department initiatives and operates as a subject matter expert in applicable technologies, policies, programs, systems management, and specification management for all aspects of Cheese Quality Assurance.
• Assures LFC and customer quality standards and expectations are being met by overseeing product evaluations, customer interfaces, performance testing, and methodology review.
• Identifies, enters, updates, and verifies manufacturing and customer specifications through the SAP Specification Management System.
• Supports the Production Division in troubleshooting plant quality deficiencies, working with technical resources, and plant management to identify root causes and eliminate recurring quality problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related discipline.
• Six(6) years of food manufacturing, product development and quality assurance experience.
• Two (2) years of leadership/people development experience.
• Proficient with MS Office suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Food Science or related discipline.
• Previous experience in a Corporate QA leadership role.
• Eight (8) years in food manufacturing, product development, and quality assurance in the dairy industry.
