Customer Service Representative I

Kohler took a product in his line, heated it to 1700°F and sprinkled it with enamel powder. Placing a picture of it in the center of his one-page catalog, he called it “a horse trough/hog scalder . . . when furnished with four legs will serve as a bathtub.” Kohler was in the plumbing business. Currently, we are considering candidates for Customer Service at the McGuire Corporate Office located in San Francisco. The Customer Service Representative has the primary responsibility to answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner then route the caller to the appropriate individual department or location as requested and appropriate. Forward messages left on overnight voice mail system to appropriate individuals.

* Greet visitors to McGuire Furniture in a courteous and professional manner. * Promptly send and distribute incoming faxes and messages. * Responsible for administrative outgoing and incoming overnight packages and items sent or delivered by messenger. * Update database with address corrections from returned mail. * Maintain general correspondence file. * Assist general office with typing filing etc. as necessary. * Handle other duties and special projects when assigned.

* The qualified candidate will possess a minimum of two years of receptionist or related experience. * Telephone etiquette customer service proficiency with MS Windows (knowledge of MS Word MS Excel MS Office). * AS400 and SAP experience a plus. * Position also requires interpersonal and quantitative aptitude and attention to detail. * Must possess substantial skills in oral communication with all levels of management and with outside contacts.
