Marketing and Communications Manager

KIPP San Antonio is part of the national KIPP network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools dedicated to preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and life. The Marketing & Communications Manager is a new role at KIPP San Antonio and will be responsible for supporting our mission and our growth by managing our marketing, public relations, and both internal and external communications.

* Maintain and support the KIPP San Antonio brand by increasing brand awareness and growing our brand both internally and externally * Develop and execute a strategic marketing and communications plan and calendar * Brainstorm and develop key messages and content for both internal and external communications to support our mission * Support the CEO in both internal and external communications * Develop and execute an internal communications strategy * Manage the KIPP San Antonio website and specifically update and maintain region-wide content * Develop, implement, and enforce website policies and procedures * Collect and analyze data on website traffic and effectiveness * Manage and execute quarterly external e-newsletters in collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Communications * Manage and execute bi-weekly internal e-newsletters * Develop strategy for and manage KIPP San Antonio’s social media, including Facebook and Twitter * Develop and execute an advertising campaign * Manage public relations, write press releases, and develop strong relationships with the media * Provide strategic guidance and develop marketing materials to support student and talent recruitment, development, advocacy, and other goals and initiatives as needed * Serve as the primary copywriter across print and digital platforms and will ensure that all organizational communications are consistent with and promote the KIPP San Antonio brand * Develop the strategy for and execute a series of videos, in collaboration with a videographer, to promote internal and external communication priorities * Develop and execute a parent communication strategy and to equip parents with consistent, compelling, accurate information about KIPP San Antonio and charters as a whole in collaboration with the Advocacy and Community Engagement Manager * Manage vendors and consultants, including graphic design, website development and management, printers, photographers, and videographers

* Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills * Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to produce high quality work in a dynamic environment * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop productive working relationships with diverse individuals and groups * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time while producing high-quality results * Team player capable of working both collaboratively and independently * Exceptional organizational and time management skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task while maintaining high-quality work * Strong judgment, analytical and problem solving skills * Passionate commitment to KIPP San Antonio’s mission and to high standards of excellence Zest, grit, hope, love, social intelligence, gratitude, and a sense of humor * Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
