Purchasing Assistant

Kohl Wholesale provides service to restaurants, hotels, supermarket delis, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, retail groceries, caterers, taverns, and many other businesses. The Kohl Cash & Carry was opened in 2000 and has broadened community awareness about the products and services Kohl Wholesale provides.

• Will track and process purchasing deals,
• Maintain price list from suppliers,
• Assist buyers with confirmations, as well as

• Assist the Purchasing Director with projects as requested.

• Ensures all pricing for distribution warehouse and the Cash & Carry store is accurate.

• Maintain item pricing data based off manufacturer price lists.
• Prepare weekly commodity price sheets for distribution.
• Maintain item database by updating weights, cube, and ti-hi information taken from vendor supplied list.

• Analytical, detail-oriented and math aptitude
• Good computer skills using Microsoft Office

• Able to work independently and part of the team

• Possess good communication skills to deal with vendor/suppliers and internal contacts

• Able to work independently and also as part of the team
• 2+ years business experience; foodservice and procurement knowledge a plus
