Mid Java Engineer

We have a fulltime opportunity for a Mid Java Engineer to work fulltime for a rapidly growing medical device company out of San Diego, CA. You will be joining a small group of talented developers that are responsible for the entire application suite.

• Analysis, design, and development of new application features
• Participation in scheduling and prioritization
• Close interaction with installation and field maintenance teams
• Close interaction with customers to refine existing UIs and develop new applications
• Integration with 3rd party applications
• Contribute to the company's continued market innovation and new product ideas

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field required
• Extensive experience with software development in Java, Objected Oriented programming and scripting languages; developing unit and functional tests
• Experience in Python programming desired
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (MySQL a plus)
• Experience of Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience with thin and thick client user interfaces is a plus
• Experience with iOS, Android or Windows Mobile development is a plus
• Experience with networking technologies including networking concepts, protocols, and tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development methodology (Agile-SCRUM)
• Great communication skills
• Ability to collaborate on, and document solutions
• Experience working in a small, close-knit team with a high degree of shared development
