Our Company
In the late 1980s, JRK's founder, CEO and chairman, Jim Lippman, recognized a dislocation in the real estate marketplace created by tax code changes. He believed that this inefficiency in the market presented an opportunity to purchase attractive real estate at heavily discounted prices. Jim founded JRK in 1991 to capitalize on this opportunity and offered sellers this promise: “as the buyer, JRK would close with speed and certainty.” After successfully purchasing dozens of apartment and hotel properties during its early years, Jim realized that JRK could further maximize the value of its portfolio by improving property operations and investing in renovations that generated accretive returns on investment. JRK formed its own asset management and property management divisions in 1995. JRK pursues value-added opportunities – investing in properties that we can reposition to deliver sustainable, growing streams of cash flow. We aim to provide distinctive apartment living and hotel experiences to our customers. JRK’s approximately $5 billion of investment capital is dedicated to a portfolio spanning 20 states with over 35,000 multifamily units, luxury and flagged hotels, and approximately 2 million square feet of office, industrial, and storage properties. With unrivaled performance over the past 25 years, we take an entrepreneurial, innovative and strategic approach when purchasing and managing properties. By sustaining high occupancy levels, keeping expenses low, utilizing financing structures that minimize risk and maintaining a dedicated and talented team, JRK continues to consistently increase the value of its properties, grow its portfolio and deliver unparalleled returns.Skills We're Looking For
