As our Human Resource Representative, you will be tasked with many challenging opportunities that will contribute to the overall growth of the business. This is an exciting time for James Hardie and you’ll play a large part by providing expertise and counseling for all people issues affecting plant operations. You'll be based out of Waxahachie, TX at our manufacturing facility and you’ll report directly to the Human Resources Manager. - Your strategic abilities will enable you to outline local strategies to recruit, engage, develop, assess and grow the Waxahachie plant hourly employees to make the Waxahachie James Hardie plant an employer of choice;
- You can play a dramatic role in impacting our business by communicating employee engagement survey results and working to identify process improvements to plant procedures to maintain or enhance positive employee relations; and
- Your excellent communication skills and your ability to build relationships will help promote employee satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively and influence across all levels and functions.
- Ability to work within existing policy structure to meet the needs of management and employees.
- Proactive involvement and understanding of all levels of employees and the related nuances of their working environments.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure and deal with multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated advanced skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and other proprietary software).
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
- 3 or more years of generalist HR experience with exposure to employee relations, performance management, union avoidance, compensation, benefits administration, training and development, and recruitment.
- Experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment.
