Responsibilities
- Liaise with developers during live support issues by applying knowledge from installations and configurations. - Perform all code deployments for managed environments, including Production, QA, and Demo. - Responsible for finding and escalating software issues that impede successful release. - Create procedures and implement utilities to automate Software Configuration Management processes. - Design and develop installation utilities for Windows and Web-based applications. - Create quality documentation and artifacts surrounding the entire development lifecycle. - Manage the software release schedule for both the product and development teams to follow, including prioritizing and scheduling code deployments. - Work with the Operations team to ensure the system stability of all environments. - Automation of routine daily tasks using PowerShell scripts for repeated actions. - Provide administrative and technical support, including installation of software patches, and trouble-shooting of installation and configuration problems.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent work experience. - Experience in a IT group within a software development company is preferred. - Flexibility with schedule and to take on new responsibilities. - Detailed oriented. - Excellent written and oral communication. Effectively communicate objective and goals of the project to other internal groups. - Ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines. - Must be available to work late evening and weekend hours with minimal supervision. - Ability to work independently or in a team. Any of the following experience would be advantageous: - Hands on experience with PowerShell. - Familiar with TFS, Team City, Hudson, Jenkins. - Experience with continuous delivery tools: MSFT Release Management, Chef, Puppet. - Experience with any software for deploying Microsoft Security updates. - Experience with any of the following: .NET, C#
