Help Desk Specialist

InterMetro Industries is seeking a Help Desk Specialist in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The Help Desk Specialist will serve as the front line and will solve basic technical problems.
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software and hardware.
- Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT Help Desk.
- Monitor service desk for tickets assigned to the queue and proces first-in first-out based on priority.
- Identify and escalate situations requiring higher level support.
- Create and update training manuels and additionally conduct training of users.
- Overnight travel as required.
- Associate, vocational or technical degree with an IT discipline
- 1 - 3 years of experience in a similar position

- Microsoft, Windows operating system
- Active directory environment
- Microsoft Exchange
- Office Suite
- Wide area and local area network enviornment
- PC Laptops, desktops, tablets and peripherals
- Help desk tracking software and reporting
- Understanding WEB tools to help troubleshoot and support end users
