Intern - Accounting

Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance has protected fellow Hoosiers since 1934. Organized by Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc., our family of companies has grown to include insurance products for auto, life, home, business and farm. Banking and other financial services and products are also available.

Assist accounting team with a variety of projects including quarterly payroll reporting, general ledger account research and reconciliation, and unclaimed property research. Help accounting staff with data processing and/or filing. Other special finance/accounting projects as assigned.

• Candidate must possess an understanding of financial statements. Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Must be proactive, detail oriented, and be able to follow-through while adhering to deadlines. Interest in agriculture or non-profit industry preferred. Preference will be given to students just completing their junior year with a major in accounting.

• Interns will be paid based on a 7.5 hour day, for work days included in the dates of the internship. The preferred start date is May 16, though start and end dates of the internship are flexible. The intern will be expected to work a minimum of 8 weeks.
