Summary

This role will be responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of a greenfield Linux environment. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a collaborative team environment while simultaneously not afraid to work independently. IEX is growing quickly, and we are looking for someone who can handle the demands of a dynamic, high-growth workplace. The ideal candidate will be bright, capable, and passionate about our mission of driving fairness and transparency on Wall Street.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Linux container/virtualization deployment
  • Design and implement Linux change management system
  • Design and develop infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools
  • Manage the deployment, maintenance, and upgrade process of systems
  • Create comprehensive documentation to a level by which processes are reproducible by others
  • Support the administration of user accounts and entitlements

Job Qualifications

  • Container and virtualization experience with Docker and KVM
  • Scripting experience (e.g., shell, Python, Ruby)
  • Experience implementing services like mySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Apache, nginx
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., syslog, graylog, Nagios)
  • Desktop support experience
  • Hardware management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably IT related
