Summary

The Associate Software Engineer will be part of a cross-functional scrum team responsible for support and development of ID Analytics software products using the latest technologies in languages (primarily Java), methodologies, operating systems, and data bases.

Responsibilities
  • Working with senior team members, participate in the design and development of complex software applications.
  • Design component level unit tests for application software.
  • Perform integration level testing at the application level.
  • Design and coding of ancillary subsystems, utilities, and scripts to support production systems.
  • Completing documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Reviewing and responding to Second Level support tickets as needed.
  • Some level of interaction with internal customers in order to facilitate the Production Support role.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Candidate should be able to demonstrate problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Must be comfortable in C/C# or Java and be familiar with a UNIX style operating system like Linux or Solaris.
  • Knowledge of and experience with distributed/concurrent systems.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Other highly desirable skills/experience include:
    • SQL.
    • Web services development.
    • Knowledge of common Java open source tools (Tomcat, Jakarta project etc.), security, networking and handling very large data sets.
    • Knowledge of Scrum/Agile methodologies

The ideal candidate must have good communication skills, be able to work as part of a collaborative team and have a willingness to learn from senior team members about new technologies and our innovative products.
