Client Services Representative

The Client Services role is a post-sales role designed to orient and educate new customers to the SoftLayer environment and their solution. The Client Services Representative will contact new customers, discuss their solution with them, conduct portal demonstrations and develop customer educational content.

• Onboard customers within their first 120 days

• Proactively contact and communicate with customer

• Develop customer education content

• Assist customers with SoftLayer orientation

• Provides customers with technical product advice during post-sales discussions

• Help actualize and reinforce organization’s desired customer experience

Please note that travel for this role will be limited (training, conference, etc.).

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

At least one (1) year of experience in previous proven sales, negotiation, communication and problem solving skills in a technology field Must be able to demonstrate previous proven sales, negotiation, communication and problem solving skills in a technology field Demonstrated written, verbal and presentation skills Demonstrated customer service and technical experience Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

• At least two (2) years of experience in previous proven sales, negotiation, communication and problem solving skills in a technology field

• At least one (1) year of experience in C=certifications recognized by IT industry (CompTia, Vendor specific, OS, etc.)

• At least one (1) year of experience in customer facing technical support role within hosting, infrastructure, telecom, or Internet Service Provider (ISP) industry

Required Education:

• High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor's Degree
