Finance Manager for Behavioral Health Government

Humana is seeking a Finance Manager who will use discipline and expertise to lead all financial management aspects of the Government contracts for its Behavioral Health Business. You will lead a team of finance associates to perform accounting, financial planning, analysis & reporting to comply with all government regulations and commitments.
- Lead the forecasting, budgeting, and long term planning processes for the Government contracts in Humana Behavioral Health
- Track actual results and prepare variance analysis and reporting for business, Corporate and Humana Government Business leadership consumption
- Provide timely, relevant financial data to the operating team in order to support key decision making
- Closely monitor allocations and allowable costs requirements for the Government contracts in Humana Behavioral Health
- Interface with the medical and behavioral cost trend analysis teams
- Lead month end accounting & closing process for the Government contracts in Humana Behavioral Health
- Track and approve all hiring, movement of FTE’s, requisitions, and timekeeping reporting requirements for the Government contracts in Humana Behavioral Health
- Track spending to Bid agreement and performance guarantees per the negotiated pricing agreements
- Provide adhoc financial support as needed

Role Essentials
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- 5-10 years financial management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to mentor and manage associates in a constantly evolving environment
- Willingness to manage and work closely with an operating team
- Prior budgeting, data and financial analysis experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, Excel
Role Desirables
- Graduate business degree preferred (MBA, MAC, etc)
- Experience in government accounting
- Prior management experience in a core finance function
- Certified Public Accountant license, desirable
- Knowledge of Hyperion Planning
- Knowledge of SQL, VBA, SAS, OBIA, Hyperion Essbase and/or Smart View
