The eMarketing Manager is the technical marketing expert within the marketing department, responsible for providing a variety of essential marketing skills including website management, email marketing, graphic design and technical support for marketing programs.
Technical Support and Website Content Management
- Manages Math Solutions Website
- Creates graphics/images, and animation for the website and other projects as necessary
- Implements any future social media, interaction, advertising, digital catalogs, and RSS feeds on website
- Performs continuous maintenance and improvement of the content, design and technology of the website, with assistance from the IT department when necessary
- Provides website quality control, trouble shooting and maintenance of smooth website navigation
- Researches, suggests, and assists in implementing (with the help of the IT department), shopping cart options and Content Management System options (Back-end enhancements to the current website)
- Performs backups and ensures user accessibility to the site
- Provides Technical Support by working with programmers to troubleshoot website errors
Website Shopping Cart Implementation
- Manage "Math Solutions Bookstore" with outside vendor
- Implementation of design user interface and integration of new products
Reporting / SEO/SEM / Analytics
- Optimizes website for search all engines
- Performs regular analysis of website traffic and communicates trends to management on a monthly / as needed basis
- Provides Search Engine Optimization
- Creates online advertising programs (SEM - Search Engine Marketing)
- Research online media to increase the efficiency of the companies marketing, advertising and promotional campaigns
Marketing Email Campaigns*

Manages and designs/produces email marketing campaigns with HMH, including:
- direct marketing of publications
- enrollment marketing
- conference and event announcements
- Sales and Client Relations emails
- Blog and Catalog announcements
- New email programs to be defined

Tracks and reports email response rates
- Calculates ROI and prepare monthly Internet marketing campaign reports
- Continues ongoing research of new email marketing software / programs
- Keeps up to date with Email Marketing Standards / CAN-SPAM act
Math Solutions Blog
- Manages, designs, and works with outside vendor on content and on website
- Maintains "Newsletter" Database list on a monthly basis
Web, design, and research support to various departments:

Publications
- Assists in maintenance and consistency of prices lists and products on print materials and website
- Supports internet marketing of publications

Creation of online marketing advertisements
- Supports direct marketing of publications
- Creation of print marketing advertisements

Publications/Operations Support
- Answers customer service emails/phone calls pertaining to web orders

Professional Development Team Support
- Image creation
- PowerPoint software assistance

Sales
- Image creation
- Web support/suggestions/input
General:
- Assist in company's Graphic / Web Design needs (working with the programs: Power Point, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Animation, and Video)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage outside consultants
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors in related field preferred
- At least 4 years of prior job experience required, or equivalent
- Knowledge of both Mac and PC Platforms
- Expertise of HTML, CSS, Java Script
- Hands-on experience building and managing web sites in Wordpress
- Ability to design and develop emails using HTML, Web 2.0, 3.0 and other technologies
- Multimedia technology knowledge
- Experience in utilizing web SEO/SEM practices
