IT Development Portfolio Manager

(Norwalk, Connecticut)Detailed Responsibilities:
- The IT Development Portfolio Manager will support workflow and portfolio management functions.
- Assist with management and tracking of incoming project work, including the coordination of scheduling and prioritization.
- Partner with development application leads, PMs, IT Leads, and CIO to manage demand and ensure alignment to achieve IT roadmap initiatives.
- Facilitate and coordinate scheduling; facilitate and manage resolution to scheduling conflicts.
- Maintaining Application Support for Ensura, a proprietary Progress 4GL/Database application utilized by the US business in concert with UK-based development resources.
- Providing day-to-day oversight of internal support resources as well as the application support service provider(s).
- Developing and maintaining a Master Release Schedule for all application production releases.
- Manage and coordinate regression testing efforts and activities for all application production packages.
- Act as the liaison between Business and Systems Analysts, Developers and project management groups within HomeServe USA.
- Partner with the Reporting Analyst generate and maintain operational reporting for senior management.
- Responsible for reporting weekly and monthly metric’s to the IT management team for on-going review and improvement of the services provided.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of Information Technology experience required, including support and maintenance of large scale systems across multiple hardware and software platforms
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on technical management
- Demonstrated ability to translate/communicate complex concepts to peers and business partners
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with deadlines, and multiple tasks/projects occurring at once
- Demonstrated ability to leverage and mentor others through technical team leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines
- Strong technical project management and/or leadership skills including the ability to plan, organize, and control projects
- Experience working in an offshore/onshore collaborative environment
- Experience training and mentoring others
