Engineering Manager, iOS

Not only does our platform make our customers’ lives a bit easier, it also empowers our service professionals to build businesses of their own. We operate in all major US cities and several locations in Canada and Europe, but we are just getting started.

Thousands of people across the world use Handy on their iPhones daily to manage their home, and that number is growing rapidly every day. Many of our users interact with Handy exclusively on their iPhones, from discovery to booking and ongoing management. We are looking to create the most elegant and accessible mobile user experience for our consumers and professionals on the platform. Your work will have a direct impact on our mobile success.

We need a smart and passionate engineering manager that loves to contribute to the portion of the stack while mentoring a small team of independent contributors. You will be responsible for contributing to the development and design of our mobile apps and features. Another key aspect of the role is hiring, mentoring and managing your team, including providing career guidance and growth opportunities.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 1+ years leading and/or managing a small team of mobile developers
• 3+ years of experience working with iOS SDK and Objective-C
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
• Comfortable with basic algorithms, complexity analysis and knowledge of distributed algorithms
• Strong understanding of software design, architecture, data-structures, multi-threading, testing, security, and performance
• Ability to work within a rapidly evolving environment
• Willingness to learn and apply new technologies and skills
