Business Intelligence Associate

Handy is seeking a business intelligence associate to lead reporting and analysis for the Finance team. You'll own everything from ad-hoc reporting to long term projects that will greatly affect the future of the team. You'll work with all departments, from Marketing to Product to Customer Experience, and become familiar with how they all work and interact. The ideal candidate will have a deep comfort and expertise with large scale data analysis, SQL, an understanding of financial analysis and planning, and a deep interest in technology and finance.

• Work with various teams across departments to provide expertise and insight into crucial data.
• Own reporting and analysis for the Finance team. You will be responsible for developing useful, new analyses and improving the overall reporting process of the team.
• Improve the business intelligence capacity/reporting for growth by allowing others to access and digest data more easily.
• Take on longer term analytical projects, both small and large, by pulling together data from multiple sources and clearly presenting useful findings and insights.
• Work with the finance team as needed on execution and planning of future finance initiatives.

You have:

• SQL proficiency is required
• 1+ years of Data Analysis experience
• 1+ years of Financial Analysis experience
• Experience with analytics tools
• Amazing Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong data presentation and visualization skills
• Knowledge of Python/R is a big plus
• A proven track record of setting up large data sets, performing statistical analysis, and presenting results
• Knowledge/Comfort with Product. Handy is an e-commerce platform, and it’s important for candidates to have knowledge of key e-commerce product areas, from on-site conversion to booking optimization
