Inside Sales Specialist

As an Inside Sales Representative you will work with existing and new agents to represent Gulfstream; develop growth plans for agencies; ensure adherence by agencies to company underwriting and processing guidelines; conduct agency training and prepare regular agency reviews; and assist management with projects as requested.
- Develop and implement approved strategies to increase market share in alignment with Gulfstream’s business objectives.
- Monitor yearly new business commitments.
- Promote Gulfstream’s products by ensuring agency awareness of their features and benefits.
- Educate agencies regarding products and policy writing system.
- Maintain thorough understanding of business transfer procedures & time frames.
- Maintain relationships and consistent contact with designated agents within assigned territory in the interest of adherence to all company guidelines.
- Provide ongoing agency support and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Complete agency reviews as requested to include agent performance, statistics and profile of business written to date.
- Keep up to date with competitor programs and rate filings.
- Conduct agency training remotely.
- Take appropriate corrective action with agents.
- Work with policy processing and claims staff when needed to ensure superior service.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of program rules and guidelines (as well as a specific understanding of rule administration/implementation).
- Maintain current understanding of all internal company processing procedures.
- Have a general understanding of policy forms, coverages and available options (including responsibility to obtain clarification from management as needed).
- Maintain communication with applicable territory managers regarding related agencies.
- Complete reports as required (such as call reports, and agency audits).
- Performs all duties specified by the Sales Director, VP of Sales and other executive officers.
Technical competencies:
- Must have at least 3 years Property & Casualty Homeowners Experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office package (Access, Excel, Word)

Travel and Physical Requirements:
- This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time and extensive work on computer and electronic communication.
