Our founders, Tony Erpelding and Justin Hersh met in 1989 while Tony was working for music legend Bill Graham Productions. During an AIDS benefit put on by legendary Berkeley chef Alice Waters, a rainstorm wreaked havoc with the 5000-person event. For many, a downpour like that would have been disastrous. Not for Tony and Justin. “At one point, I looked over at Tony who was still so calm, cool, and collected, and I knew he was the guy to partner with,” said Justin.
