Android Developer

Grindr needs an Android Developer to help create the next generation of Android native apps. As a part of a full-stack team of developers, you will be developing, creating, coding, and collaborating to facilitate connections between our vast, geographically distributed user base this is an opportunity to be a hands-on developer while growing your abilities.

• Participate in code and architecture reviews
• Build with quality and integrity while balancing business and engineering needs
• Ensuring high availability and scalability of the Grindr Android apps by continuously refactoring and re-architecting parts of the apps to meet our needs
• Drive projects to completion with minimal guidance

• 4+ years of work experience, 3+ years of hands-on experience developing Android production apps
• Experience submitting apps to Google Play Store or Amazon Appstore
• Experience implementing RESTful APIs
• Java development experience and knowledge of the Android SDK
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience preferred
