Senior Coordinator, In-Store Marketing and Promotions

As part of the Marketing Retail Team, the Sr. Coordinator of In-store Marketing and Promotions will be responsible for the development of all in-store marketing events for Old Navy stores in North America. In partnership with the Sr. Manager, the Sr. Coordinator will be responsible for working cross-functionally to create and execute traffic and sales driving promotional events. The successful candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has the ability to work autonomously when needed, and has excellent organizational skills.
- Own all in-store activation events (e.g. partnerships and sweepstakes), and traffic driving promotions from start to finish including; strategic development and leadership alignment, writing and delivering creative briefs.
- Partner cross functionally (Merchandising, Creative & Copy teams, Pricing, Print Production) to ensure flawless execution of marketing events including giveaways and partnerships.
- Be the primary point of contact for outside vendors and partners. Build relationships that are able enhance and improve Old Navy’s position with outside brands or agencies.
- In partnership with the product test team, own all in-store product tests by briefing and delivering in-store signage to support the test.
- Track results, hindsight findings and provide recommendations in order to inform events or promotions in the future.
- Develop inspirational briefs that are also able to deliver on the overall strategy.
- Thoughtfully provide strategic and creative feedback to ensure projects are delivering on business objectives.
- Write detailed and informative store communication documents to ensure store associates are clear on the intent and strategy for the event, and are able to flawlessly execute.
- Code creation for promotions or events requiring scannable codes.
- Partner with social, online, and PR team to ensure clear messaging across all vehicles.
- Take on additional responsibilities within the Retail Team as needed.
Specific Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have clear and concise communication skills, and have experience writing clear and inspiring creative briefs.
- Keen understanding of marketing concepts and development.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and react quickly to change.
- Excellent project management skills- ability to juggle small and large projects across multiple seasons.
- Ability to build strong partnerships with the immediate team as well as cross-functional & external agency partners.
- Ability to work autonomously and with ambiguity.
- Always thinking ahead, anticipating potential roadblocks.
- Desire to monitor trends apparel retail category, write hindsight’s and competitive recaps.
- Enjoys the creative process, and likes to think outside of the box.
Experience:
- 3-4 years Marketing experience either in house or agency experience – retail experience a plus Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
