Senior Android Mobile Engineer

We are looking for a Mobile Engineer who will be responsible for developing the next generation of our Android mobile applications. The ideal candidate would have a passion for and knowledge of YouTube, and digital entertainment and the world of social media influencers. The candidate would also have a proven track record of mobile platform and application development experience on Android to support and fulfill the strategic objectives of a highly cross-functional organization. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building great mobile software, enjoys working with a team of talented developers, and who is eager to take on big challenges. Mobile is on fire.

• Architect, design, and implement the next generation of our mobile applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, develop, and deliver new exciting features on Android platforms to delight our consumers
• Continuously explore, evaluate, and incorporate new technologies into our products and processes to improve development efficiency
• Deliver quality software solution using Agile mobile development cycle
• Analyze and resolve performance issues and other limitations
• Leading small teams

Qualifications:

• 4+ years experience designing and developing native mobile applications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Expertise in Android Java programming experience
• At least one mobile app in Google Play
• Deep understanding of core software concepts, including networking, security, memory management, multi-threading, and application life-cycle management
• Knowledge of latest mobile emerging technologies, architectures, and trends
• Advanced software design skills, including object-oriented design
• A strong grasp of computer science fundamentals
• Proficient at debugging and performance tuning
• Great communication and collaboration skills with a commitment to quality

Bonus Points If:

• Experience in both iOS and Android platform development
• Experience with media player technologies for Android
• Experience with in-app purchase or payment integration features
• Always eager to learn and familiar with cutting-edge new technologies (Material Design, etc)
