Summary

Oversee Human Resource Metro LAX area operations for multiple units. Support Regional Human Resource Managers and Corporate Human Resource programs as needed.

Responsibilities

Activities

  • Work effectively with Regional Managers, Corporate HR and Unit General Managers
  • Ensure staffing is adequate in units
  • Aide in yearly Performance Management Review processes for units and succession planning
  • Support safety related activities for assigned units
  • Work with HR Managers in Employee Motivation, such as celebrations and leadership recognition
  • Implement Employee Counseling or Discipline Process with training to HR Managers
  • Work with units to ensure Open Enrollment for all benefits is completed in a timely manner.
  • Drive continuous process improvement through training and ad hoc development

Accountabilities

  • Maintain positive work environments in all units
  • Comply with union contracts and agreements
  • Monitor and develop HR Managers in units
  • Improve turnover metrics
Ideal Candidate

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field (business, law, etc.)
  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field

Knowledge or Experience Requirements

  • Union Relations
  • HR Policy Management and Legal Compliance
  • Training and Development
  • Employee Relations
  • Recruiting and selection process
  • ADP Workforce Now and Kronos Workforce Timekeeper (Preferred)
  • PC Skills such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
