Scrum Master

This position plays a core role in the planning and delivery of projects. The purpose of this position is to ensure our Scrum teams live by the principles, values and practices of Agile, that Scrum is understood and enacted. Providing organizational support through servant leadership and coaching for Scrum Masters, Scrum teams and key supporting roles, and to help ensure successful delivery of project Minimum Viable Product are essential.

The Scrum Master - Intermediate will partner with project team members to ensure a successful launch and deliver project scope. The Scrum Master - Intermediate is expected to work under moderate supervision with oversight provided by the Manager of Agile Management within the Project Management Office.

• Ensure the productivity of Delivery Teams through collaboration, shared understanding, the identification of risks and dependencies, the removal of obstacles, and the resolution of conflicts
• Enforce policies / processes / agreements
• Schedule and facilitate Sprint meetings
• Provide status, metrics, and overall visibility
• Contribute to Release Planning and Backlog management
• Act as a liaison between Delivery Teams and the Product Owner / Product Owner Team
• Coach other members of the organization on Agile methodology

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of two years of Scrumming
• Hands-on experience in a software development environment

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering

Job Related Experience:

• 2+ years of Scrum Master experience
• 3+ years of experience in IT, ideally within the software development industry
• Knowledge of Scrum teams working in an environment leveraging multiple methodologies and frameworks to include, but not limited to: Waterfall, Scrum and Agile
• Experience in working with metrics to communicate Scrum team health and effectiveness
