Quality Assurance Analyst - Direct Integrations

The Quality Assurance Analyst - Direct Integrations is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining all test deliverables. This associate will be required to work with SQL, XML, EDI, and multiple transfer protocols. They will operate as a member of a scrum team in the e-Commerce Technologies vertical, but must be able to evaluate situations and take appropriate action independently.
- In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management
- Adhere to all best practices, standards, and processes defined by Ferguson and its management team
- Translate business requirements and technical specifications into test scripts and scenarios
- Analyze test data needs and create and maintain test data
- Record test results, troubleshoot, track, and prioritize defects based on severity
- Develop and communicate test estimates based on test plan
- Identify and communicate dependencies and roadblocks
- Manage project deadlines and regularly provide status updates to project team and manager
- Develop, capture, and maintain Quality Metrics
- Continuous development and refinement of testing best practices, skill set, and business process knowledge
- Participate and provide input for all team and project related activities
- Lead/Participate in formal UAT exercises
- Provide support for scrum and project teams outside of their own
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, third party vendors, associations and user groups
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer-Related or Business-Related field is typically required to perform at expectations

- Knowledge of common transfer protocols, SQL, XML, and EDI a plus
- Experience with HP Quality Center /HP-ALM-Explorer 11 a plus
- Familiarity with Agile Lifecycle a plus
