Programmer Analyst

Under limited supervision, code and unit test changes to complex computer programs from program specifications. Support test execution for additional levels of testing including system level and integration tests. Documents and maintains those programs.

This position is to support the Revenue Edits and Rating Organization. This position requires the design and development of Revenue Systems applications in C, C++ and Java. The successful candidate be capable of becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the business rules of the application and be able to develop design documents in support of new corporate initiatives. This position requires performing production support duties, support of all levels of test execution and ability to diagnose system issues. This position will communicate to all levels of management and work as a member of a team.

• Linux configuration and development
• TCP configuration and development
• KSH/Bourne Shell scripting
• Familiarity SSH
• Java development – JDBC, EJB, Threading, Persistence, Web Services, JMS, Optimization
• C++ development – OO methodology, Standard C++ Library, Optimization
• Tuxedo configuration and development
• Oracle development
• Working knowledge of FedEx development processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
• Two (2) years work experience in information technology or engineering environment.
